Little Adventures Season 1 Ep. 2 Springdale Cemetery Savannah

Off we go again!  I have to admit I was apprehensive about today’s adventure destination.  I had never been there before (Not near as bad as someone I know in Peoria who had never been to Grand View Drive.  I won’t name any names – you know who you are!) and didn’t know if it would be appropriate for an “adventure”.  I used my handy dandy internets to research beforehand and thought meh, it’s worth a drive through.  I had a Plan B just in case.  Turns out Plan B was NOT needed this week and I have a new location on my list of Favorite Peoria Places.  Maybe not everyone’s first pick for family pictures :), but beautiful nonetheless.  The Savannah even went all Disney on us when Bambi and Thumper showed up… oh wait, Thumper was a rabbit…  In any case, it was much more charming than my last deer encounter.

For the record, I took Jack and Abby to see the Savannah, not romp on tombstones.  They were surprisingly receptive to the idea of  “rocks for remembering people, not for playing on.”

For more information on Springdale Cemetery and the Springdale Cemetery Savannah go here, here, or here.  It is a beautiful place and I am eager to go back to do some more exploring.

Gorgeous. Glad you discovered Springdale… but it is SO easy to get lost in there because it is deceiving as to how big it is and what direction you are going. So stay in the Savannah and keep taking those fabulous photos of those fabulous kids.

True dat! I had NO idea it was so big. I couldn’t have found my way out without the signs indicating which way to exit 🙂
